Lakeview Gunnison Overview

Lakeview (Gunnison) Campground has 67 campsites and is located just above Taylor Park Reservoir among ponderosa and lodgepole pine trees. Most sites have dandy views of the reservoir and the Swatch Mountains.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (25 to 45 feet). Most campsites are reservable, but there are a few first-come, first-serve sites. Sites 48 to 68 have electric hookups. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grate. Campsites 31, 32, 34, 53, 54 and 62 are ADA.  Amenities include drinking water, vault toilets and trash collection. A boat ramp, marina and boat rents are also available just below the campground.

Other campgrounds in the area include North Bank, Rosy Lane, Lottis Creek, One Mile, Almont and Lodgepole.

Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, hiking, backpacking, mountain biking, ATVing, picnicking, hunting, horseback riding and wildlife viewing.
