Silver Jack (CO) Overview

Silver Jack Campground has 60 single-family campsites and is located in a remote, heavily wooded area near near Silver Jack Reservoir.

The campground has 3 loops including Chipeta, Ouray and Sapinero. One of the three loops is often used for groups while the other two are for individual campers. There are no close communities to get provisions so visitors need to bring everything they need.

Campground amenities include drinking water, vault toilets and trash collection. Cell service is not available. Firewood is also available to purchase from the camp host. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill.

Big Cimarron Campground is within a mile. Other campgrounds in the area (15 to 17 miles) include Amphitheater, Sunshine, Matterhorn, South Mineral, Mill Creek and Beaver Lake.

Outdoor recreation in the area includes  kayaking, paddle-boarding, fishing, hunting, hiking, mountain biking, OHV trail riding, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
