Old Federal Overview

Old Federal Campground has 84 campsites (65 with water & electric hookups) and is located along the shoreline of beautiful Lake Sidney Lanier.  There are 65 campsites that have electric and water hookups (no sewer), 12 primitive tent-only campsites and 7 walk/hike to sites.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (up t0 75 feet). Each site also has a table, fire ring, grill, BBQ pedestal and lantern most.

Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, showers, dump station and trash collection.  There is also a swim beach, boat ramp and boat trailer parking next to the campground. Cell service is good in the area. Firewood is also available to purchase at the campground.

Other campgrounds in the area include Van Pugh South, Duckett Mill, Toto Creek and Bolding Mill.

Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, paddle-boarding, swimming, water sports, hiking, biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
