Dog Creek (Id) Campground Boise National Forest Idaho

Dog Creek (Id) Overview

Dog Creek Campground has 13 campsites and is on the banks of Dog Creek and within 1/8 mile of the South Fork Boise River. Cottonwood, aspen, Douglas fir and ponderosa pine also surround the campground.

The campground is seasonal and usually open mid May to late September. Amenities include potable (drinking) water, vault toilets and trash collection (dumpsters).  Cell service is not available.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Camp roads and parking spurs are gravel. Each campsite has a parking spur, table, fire ring and grill.  Parking spurs range in length from 30 to 40 feet.

Dog Creek Campground – Area Recreation & Activities

The South Fork Boise River runs along the eastern edge of the campground, offering rafting, swimming and fishing for rainbow trout. Paradise Hot Springs is also nearby. Other activities include hiking, mountain biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.

Elks Flat campground is about a mile away. You might also like Curlew Creek, Castle Creek, Evans Creek campgrounds, all next to Anderson Ranch Reservoir.
