Elks Flat Overview
Elks Flat campground has 2 group sites and is on the banks of the South Fork Boise River at the foot of the Trinity Mountain Range. The group sites can accommodate up to 100 people and 22 vehicles each. Although best suited for tent camping, you can also park a trailer or RV (up to 50 feet).
The seasonal campground is open mid May to late September. Amenities include potable (drinking) water, vault toilets and trash collection (dumpsters). Each site also has covered pavilions, picnic tables, BBQ pedestals and cement site pads. Hookups are not available. Cell service is not available.
Elks Flat Campground – Area Recreation & Activities
The South Fork Boise River runs along the eastern edge of the campground, offering rafting, swimming and fishing for rainbow trout. Paradise Hot Springs is also nearby. Other activities include hiking, mountain biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
Dog Creek campground is also about a mile away.
