Wellington Campground Idaho
Wellington Overview
Wellington Campground has about 17 first-come first-served campsites and is just across Highway 55 from the North Fork Payette River. Tripod Creek also runs past the campground on the way to the river.
The campground is the closest camping for rafters and kayakers on the North Fork of the Payette River and is directly across the highway from the takeout for the Class 3 Cabarton whitewater section. It is also near the top of the Class 5 North Fork section in Smith’s Ferry.
The campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (up to 30 feet). Each site has a gravel parking spur, table, fire ring and grill. Hookups are not available. Overflow parking for extra vehicles and trailers is available at the campground. Trash services/collection is also not available. Restrooms are available over at the Snow Park.
Wellington Campground – Area Recreation & Activities
