Buffalo River State Park Overview

Buffalo River State Park campground has 44 sites (35 with electric hookups) and is located in a beautiful hardwood forest along the Buffalo River. There is also one group campsite.

The campground and park are open year round. Amenities include potable (drinking) water, flush toilets, hot-water showers (seasonal), trash collection (dumpsters) and an RV dump station (seasonal). The park also has 2 golf courses (one next to park), a picnic area and shelter, and a swimming beach/pond.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (up to 60 feet). Each campsite also has a parking spur, table, fire ring and grills. Most sites have good shade.

Buffalo River State Park – Area Recreation

The park offers some of Minnesota’s best prairies to explore and see the abundant wildlife. Outdoor recreation includes boating, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, swimming, hiking, biking and many other outdoor recreation activities.
