CCC (ND) Campground North Dakota

CCC (ND) Overview

CCC Campground has 38 campsites (with electric hookups) and is located next to the Little Missouri River in North Dakota’s Badlands. Twenty-five (25) sites are reservable and the rest are first-come, first-served. Three of the sites are for groups (up to 4 vehicles and 20 people), and five sites are for equestrian campers (up to 4 vehicles and 20 people).

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site has electric hookups, parking spur, a table, fire ring and grill.  The 5 equestrian campsites also have corrals and hitching racks. Manure bins are also available.

The campground is open year round. Amenities include water and vault toilets. Pack-in, Pack-out rules apply. If you bring it in with you, please take it out. Please do not put any trash in the vault toilets. A camp host is also present during peak season (usually mid May to early September).

CCC Campground – Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, picnicking and wildlife viewing.

Maah Daah Hey Trail that goes for 150 miles, Ends at Burning Coal Vein Campground. Sunset loop which is a short 2-mile hike that connects the Maah Daah Hey Trail and the Long X trail. If you are looking for a day hike, there is a 11-mile loop Maah Daah Hey Trial to the Long X Trail. Where you will see dramatic views of the badlands and prairies of Western North Dakota.

Buffalo Gap Campground (about 76 miles south) is another option.
