Cottonwood (ND) Overview

Cottonwood (South Unit) campground has 76 single-family campsites and is next to the Little Missouri River in Theodore Roosevelt National Park. One group site is also available. Sites 55-66 are all walk-to sites, site #25 is the group site (7 to 20 people).

The campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVS. No hookups are available.  Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grill. Sites can accommodate up to 6 people and 2 vehicles.  Amenities include drinking water and  flush toilets (vault in winter). Some cell service is available in the area.

Theodore Roosevelt National Park Cottonwood – Area Recreation & Activities

Theodore Roosevelt National Park is located in the badlands of western North Dakota. The Park offers a nice visitor center and a variety of outdoor recreation activities including backcountry camping, biking, horseback riding, wildlife viewing and cross-country skiing. You can also enjoy canoeing, kayaking and fishing on the Little Missouri River.

Juniper Campground and Roundup Group Horse Campground are also located at the Park.
