Mcwilliams Overview
McWilliams Campground has 75 campsites and is located near the Lee Canyon Ski area at an elevation of 8,300 feet. It’s also 50 miles from downtown Las Vegas, NV. Ten of the campsites are ‘double’ sites. The campground is usually open mid May to mid October, but sites 1-14 are available all year.
Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (20 to 64 feet). Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill. Camp roads and parking spurs are paved. Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets and trash collection. Firewood is also available for sale from the camp host. Cell service is not available.
Other campgrounds in the area include Mahogany Grove (4 miles), Hilltop (4 miles), and Fletcher View (5 miles).
McWilliams Campground – Area Recreation & Activities
Outdoor recreation in the area include hiking, backpacking, mountain biking, picnicking, stargazing and wildlife viewing. The upper and lower Bristlecone trailheads are located just above and below the campground.
