Mount Rose Overview

Mount Rose Campground 009

Mount Rose campground has 26 campsites and is located in an open conifer forest overlooking beautiful Lake Tahoe (9 miles to the west). There are 20 single and 5 double-family sites, as well as one triple-family site. There is one pull thru site (8).  Campsites 22-26 are walk-to tent only.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (up to 55 feet). Each site also has a table, lantern pole, fire ring and grate. All camp roads and parking spurs are paved. Hookups are not available. Cell service is generally good in the area.

The campground is open seasonally mid June to late September.  Amenities include potable (drinking) water, flush toilets and trash collection (dumpsters). Food storage lockers are also available.

Mount Rose – Area Recreation

Popular activities include fishing, swimming, mountain biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing. Hiking is also available on several area trails including Tahoe Meadows Trail, Tahoe Rim Trail, Mt. Rose Wilderness Trail and Mt. Rose Summit Trail.

You may also like Washoe Lake State Park and Davis Creek Regional Park.
