Meacham Lake Overview

Meacham Lake campground has 224 campsites and is located in a beautiful undeveloped area on the north and west shores of the lake on upstate New York.  The campground boasts nice views of the northern mountains and easy access to the Wild Forest state land.

Campsites are suitable for tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a parking spur, table, fire ring and grate.

The seasonal campground is usually open mid May to mid October. Amenities include potable (drinking) water, flush toilets, hot-water showers, trash collection and an RV dump station. There’s also picnic areas, a playground, swim beach, boat launch, sports field and boat rentals available. Ice and firewood are also available for sale at the campground.

Meacham Lake – Area Recreation

Outdoor recreation in the area includes canoeing/kayaking (during the spring), fishing, swimming,  hiking, biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing. Adirondack Park also offers visitors over 6 million acres to explore.   There are also many towns and villages, fine lodging, luxury resorts and family-friendly accommodations throughout the park.

You may also like Wilmington Notch campground. Robert Moses State Park (1000 Islands) is also nice and is about 55 miles north up at the US-Canada border.
