Ochoco Divide Campground Ochoco National Forest Oregon

Ochoco Divide Overview

Ochoco Divide Campground has 25 primitive campsites and is located along U.S. Highway 26 at the summit of Ochoco Pass in central Oregon. All campsites are first-come first-served.

The campground is surrounded by mature ponderosa pine forest, Douglas-fir, and open grassy areas, giving it a distinctly high-country Central Oregon atmosphere. Its location directly along Highway 26 makes access easy for both cars and RVs, while the forested setting provides a pleasant place to stop and enjoy the outdoors.

The seasonal campground is generally open mid May to mid October. Amenities include vault toilets and trash collection (dumpsters). Potable (drinking) water is not available. Firewood is available to purchase from the friendly camp host. Cell service is poor.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a parking spur, table, fire ring and grill. Hookups are not available.

Ochoco Divide Group Site is also nearby. The group area is set somewhat away from the highway and can accommodate groups, although parking is limited and campers must walk up a small hill from the parking area.
