Sunset – Lake of the Woods (OR) Overview

Sunset Campground has 67 spacious campsites (56 reservable) in an old-growth forest and is located next to Lake of the Woods, about 40 miles west of Klamath Falls.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Sites A1-A7 have electric hookups. C-loop sites 57-67 are first-come first-served. Each site also has a paved parking spur (44 to 56 feet long), table, fire ring and grill.

Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets and trash collection. There is also a boat ramp/docks at the campground. A dump station is nearby (about a mile). Firewood is also available to purchase from the camp host.  Cell service is good. Nearby, the Lake of the Woods Resort offers dining options, boat rentals, and basic supplies.

Other campgrounds in the area include Aspen Point, Fish Lake, Doe Point, North Fork and Rainbow Bay (group).

Outdoor recreation in the area include non-motorized boating, paddle-boarding, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, swimming, hiking, mountain biking, hunting, horseback riding, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
