Poole Knobs Overview

Poole Knobs Campground is set in a forested area next to J. Percy Priest Lake and has 87 spacious campsites. One group site is also available that can accommodate up to 40 people.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. There are 47 sites with water & electric hookups. Each site also has a gravel parking spur (ranging in size from 18 to 40 feet in length), table, lantern post, fire ring and grill.

The campground is usually open early May through September. Amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, hot-water showers, trash collection and an RV dump station. There’s also a boat ramp and boat trailer lot. Cell service is good in the area.

Outdoor recreation in the are includes boating, fishing, water sports, kayaking, paddle-boarding, hiking, biking, horseback riding, picnicking and wildlife viewing.

J. Percy Priest Lake is conveniently located about ten miles east of downtown Nashville, offering visitors countless cultural activities in addition to the conveniences of a metro area.
