Cherry Campground Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest Utah

Cherry Overview

Cherry Campground is located in a wooded along Hobble Creek and has 18 spacious campsites including 4 (tent only) group sites. The 16 single-family campsites can accommodate up to 2 vehicles and 8 people per site. Three of the group sites can have up to 75 people and the 4th group site up to 50 people.

The campground is seasonal and generally open mid April to mid October. Amenities include vault toilets, trash collection (dumpsters), a horseshoe pit and volleyball courts.  Campsites have a parking area, table, fire ring and grill. Firewood is also available to purchase from the friendly camp host. Potable (drinking) water is not available. Cell service is also not available.

Cherry Campground – Area Recreation & Activities

Rainbow and brown trout fishing are popular on Hobble Creek. A few hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding trails are also in the area.  Wildlife viewing and stargazing are also great.

Balsam Campground is also nearby (about 5.5 miles).
