Slough Creek Campground has 16 reservable campsites and is located in the Lamar Valley near some of the best areas for watching wildlife.  Campsites are scattered among the trees, in an open meadow or along the banks of the creek.

Sites camp accommodate tents, trailers and small RVs. Each campsite also has a parking spur, table, fire ring, grate and food storage locker. Most parking spurs range in length from 18 to 30 feet, with one site (#7) at 60 feet. Hookups are not available.

The seasonal campground is usually open mid June to mid October. Amenities include potable (drinking) water, vault toilets and trash collection (dumpsters). Cell service is good in the area.

Slough Creek – Yellowstone National Park Area Recreation

Yellowstone National Park is world famous for its amazing geology, scenery, rivers, wildlife, fishing and those amazing geysers!  Outdoor recreation includes hiking, biking, camping, wildlife viewing, photography, backpacking, fishing, boating, canoeing, kayaking and much more. Fly fishing is also very popular in the area.

There are also 11 other campgrounds in Yellowstone National park including: Bridge Bay, Canyon, Grant Village, Indian Creek, Lewis Lake, Madison, Mammoth, Norris, Pebble Creek, Tower Fall, and also Fishing Bridge RV Park.
