Lolo National Forest Overview

The Lolo National Forest is located in western Montana and includes and abundance of lakes, creeks, rivers and wilderness area. There are also over 26 campgrounds and 2,400 miles of mixed-used trails.

The National Forest has a wide variety of outdoor recreation including camping, fishing, boating, kayaking, swimming, water sports, hiking, biking, horseback riding, hunting and OHV trail riding. Wildlife viewing is also spectacular with opportunities to see many types of forest creatures. And don’t forget the winter sports – downhill skiing (at two ski resorts), snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.
