Port San Luis Harbor District Overview

Port San Luis Harbor District offers ocean front RV/trailer camping right next to the harbor and Fisherman’s beach. Olde Port Beach (dog-friendly) is also nearby, as is Avila Beach.

All campsites must be reserved online. The Coastal Gateway camping area has 8 full hookup sites). Nobi Point has 6 dry campsites. Woodyard has 13 dry campsites. And there are 12 dry campsites in the trailer/boat camping area (must have a registered vessel during your stay).

All campsites at Port San Luis require a fully self-contained camper (no tent/car camping). You can stay up to 14 consecutive days. Check-in time for Coast Gateway, Nobi Point and Woodyard is 2pm and 5pm for Coast Gateway Trailer/Boat camping.  See Campsite Details for information about each campsite.

Public restrooms and showers are located over by Harford Landing (Trailer Boat Camping Area).  Campfires and wood/charcoal BBQs are prohibited. Propane or gas BBQs / fire pits are okay.

Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, canoeing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, sailing, swimming, snorkeling, hiking, biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing. Avila Beach also has a number of shops and restaurants.

You may also like Flying Flags (Avila Beach) RV Park. Montana de Oro State Park, Pismo State Beach North Beach and Oceano campgrounds are also in the general area.
