Crystal Springs (AR) Overview
Crystal Springs Campground has 63 campsites (with water & electric hookups) and is in a forested area next to beautiful Lake Ouachita. There is also a reservable group campsite that includes electrical and water hookups. The two group picnic shelters have electricity.
The campground is open year round (reservations accepted early April to early October). Amenities include potable (drinking) water, flush toilets, hot-water showers, a dump station, overflow parking and trash collection. Cell service is good in the area. There’s also a playground, boat ramp and boat tailer lot. The Crystal Springs Marina/Village is within a mile of the campground.
Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. In addition to water & electric hookups, each site also has a paved parking spur, table, lantern post, fire ring and grill. Pad lengths range from 20 to 60 feet. Up to 2 vehicles and 12 people per campsite.
Crystal Springs Campground – Area Recreation & Activities
Lake Ouachita is fed from the cool waters of the Ouachita River in central Arkansas. Surrounded by the Ouachita Mountains and National Forest, it’s crystal waters span over 40,000 acres and extend for 30 miles, making it the largest lake completely in the state of Arkansas.
Outdoor recreation includes boating, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, swimming, scuba diving, snorkeling, water sports, hiking, biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
Other campgrounds around or near the lake include Brady Mountain, Denby Point, Joplin, Tompkins Bend and Little Fir.

Stayed a tent spot 18. Place was quiet and near the restrooms/showers. We were right by the water. Lady working the gate was great. She was friendly and helpful. We loved eating dinner by the water and watching the geese with their babies.
