Baker (CA) Campground Stanislaus National Forest California
Baker (CA) Overview
Baker Campground has 39 spacious campsites (all first-come first-served) and is next to the scenic Stanislaus River near Dardanelle and along the Highway 108 corridor toward Sonora Pass.
The campground is designed primarily for tent and smaller RV/trailer camping. There are several double-family sites. Two of the campsites (#12 and #13) are walk-to tent-only and the rest can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Large trees provide good shade to most campsites.
The seasonal campground is usually open mid April to early October. Amenities include potable (drinking) water, vault toilets and trash collection (dumpsters). Firewood is also available to purchase from the camp host. Cell service is not available. Each site also has a gravel parking spur, table, fire ring and grill.
The nearby Kennedy Meadows area offers additional services including a resort, restaurant, store, and pack station.
