Big Trees Overview

Big Trees Campground is located among a forest of tall Jeffrey Pines and along the banks of Bishop Creek. The campground has 16 campsites (some walk-in tent only) and all are first-come first-serve.

The seasonal campground is generally open mid-May to mid-October. Amenities include potable (drinking) water, vault and flush toilets, and trash colleciton (dumpsters). Each campsite also has a table, fire ring, grate and food storage locker. Hookups are not available. Cell service is also not avalable.

Big Trees Campground – Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, backpacking, hiking, horseback riding, picnicking and wildlife viewing.

Other campgrounds in the area include Four Jeffrey, Forks, Bishop Park, Bitterbrush and Sabrina.
