Sabrina Comments & Reviews
Visited Sabrina Campground lately? We'd love to hear about your adventure. Did you find us useful? Did we forget something? Anything our community should know before heading out to Sabrina?

Are the campsites first come first serve and are there any available for the 5th to the 9th of August and what are the fees per day? Ty
Yes, all Sabrina campsites are first-come, first-serve. The campground is open and is most likely busy/sold out on weekends. We really don’t have any way to tell if there is availability from Aug 5-9. Since those days are mid-week, you should be able to get a site.
TYVM will be making the trip
When does the campground close for the season? Hoping to camp Nov 6-8
Hi Margi,
Sabrina campground is currently open (as of October 8) and usually stays open late in to October (weather permitting). Not sure if it’ll be open November 6-8. I’d call the USFS office to check: 760-873-2400
I have camped here before and would like to plan a trip in June. I went a couple of Junes ago and it was perfect. Do we know if the grounds are currently closed because of the snow season or is it closed due to Trump’s policy? Will they open back up for the summer season?
Hi Brittany,
Yes, Sabrina is in a great area and nice to camp. It is as 9,000 feet and generally doesn’t open until mid May (closes late October). There’s still snow up there and that’s why it is closed.
I am planning on visiting bishop in August, do you know if mosquitoes will be a problem during that time?
Hi Dannynak,
Yes – usually mosquitoes will be an issue in August at Sabrina campground. You may even run into quite a lot of them while hiking or fishing (near water).
