Bishop Park Campground (California)

Bishop Park Overview

Bishop Park 002

Bishop Park campground is located on the Middle Fork of Bishop Creek and has 20 campsites for tents, trailers and small RVs.  It is not recommended for large motorhomes or long trailers, there are a few sites that will accommodate smaller rigs. Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grill. Our favorite Bishop Park campsites are: 10, 12, 13, 14 and 15.

This popular campground is first-come first-served and is generally open mid-May to mid-October. The campground has drinking water and flush toilets. Firewood is also available for sale from the campground host. Group camping is available by reservation.

Outdoor activities include hiking, mountain biking, fishing, picnicking, photography, stargazing, horseback riding and wildlife viewing.

Two other campgrounds in the area are Forks Campground and Four Jeffrey Campground.

One Comment on “Bishop Park”

  1. Alisa Jackson says:

Bishop Park is a beautiful campground. Running along the creek several sites (4, 10-13) will definitely be underwater in spring. In 2018 they were flooded well into early August. Sites 1, and 3 will accommodate larger 5th wheels or trailers. Parking is in small lots, across the campsite road from your actual campsite. These sites are not level and would not be easily accessible by the physically impaired. Flush toilets and potable water is available. Deer are plentiful. The creek runs fast, but provides great fishing. Cardinal Resort is a few hundred yards up the road for bait, ice, a cafe and cell service.
