Bishop Park Campground (California)

760 873-2400
37.2443, -118.5968

Bishop Park has 20 campsites and is one of the most popular campgrounds and is located on the banks of the Middle Fork of Bishop Creek. The campground is not recommended for large motorhomes or long trailers, there are a few sites that will accommodate smaller rigs. Each campsite has a table, fire ring and grill. Our favorite Bishop Park campsites are: 10, 12, 13, 14 and 15.

The campground is first-come, first-serve and located at 8,400 feet in the Sierra Nevada mountain range about 12 miles northwest of Bishop, CA. It’s generally open mid may to mid October. The campground has drinking water, flush toilets and firewood is for sale from the campground host. Group camping is available.

Outdoor activities include hiking, mountain biking, fishing, picnicking, photography, stargazing, horseback riding and wildlife viewing.

Two other campgrounds in the area are Forks Campground and Four Jeffrey Campground.
