Dardanelle Campground Stanislaus National Forest California

Dardanelle Overview

Dardanelle Campground 007

Dardanelle Campground has 28 first-come first-served campsites in a forested area long the scenic Middle Fork Stanislaus River. There are mostly single-family sites but a few are double-family, and three sites (23 to 25) are walk to (tent only) – about 50 to 150 feet depending on the site. All other sites can accommodate tents and smaller trailers/RVs.

The seasonal campground is generally open early May to mid October. Amenities include vault toilets, trash collection (dumpsters) and overflow parking ($). Potable (drinking) water is not available. Firewood is available to purchase from the camp host (site #2). Each site also has a paved parking spur, table, fire ring and grill. Cell service is not available.

The nearest RV dump station is the Pinecrest Dump Station (about 17 miles), 0.25 miles west of Pinecrest Lake Road. Although the Dardanelle Resort (just across the highway) may have one but availability is not reliable.
