Gansner Bar Campground Plumas National Forest California

Gansner Bar Overview

Gansner Bar Campground Restrooms

Tucked alongside the North Fork of the Feather River, Gansner Bar Campground offers a peaceful, scenic escape in the heart of Plumas National Forest. Located roughly 32 miles west of Quincy off Highway 70 via Caribou Road, this riverside campground blends easy access with rugged Sierra Nevada charm.

The campground has 17 campsites suitable for tents, trailers and RVs. Some sites are right by the river but none have views of the water due to shrubs and bushes.  Each site also has a table, food storage locker (bear box), fire ring and grill. Hookups are not available.

The campground is generally open mid May to late September. Amenities include potable (drinking) water, flush toilets and trash collection. A dump station is located at nearby North Fork Campground. Cell coverage is poor in the area.
