Pipi Campground Eldorado National Forest California

Pipi Overview

Pipi campground has 49 campsites in a forested area along the Middle Fork of the Cosumnes River in the central Sierra Nevada mountain range. Most sites allow for a max of 6 guests and 2 vehicles but a few other campsites can accommodate more people/vehicles.

Pipi Campground allows for RV, trailer, as well as tent camping. Some of the sites are tent only, while others allow for RVs and trailers. In addition, depending on the site, the max vehicle length is 18ft-35ft. Reservations are available from late May until early September. However, sites are available on a first come first serve basis from early September until the end of October.

Pipi is pet friendly and many cedar and fir trees provide plenty of shade for everyone. Pets must be on a leash at all times. Also, there is no cell service here. Bears also frequent the area so all necessary items must be properly taken care of.

Amenities at this campground and campsites include picnic tables, fire pits, BBQs, as well as grills/fire rings. Also, there are vault toilets and drinking water. The closest dump station options are Silver Fork Campground (36mi northeast), Plasse’s Resort at Silver Lake (31mi east), and Sly Park Recreation Area (31mi northwest).
