Tannery Overview
Tannery Campground has 82 campsites nestled on the shore of Trinity Lake among tall pines, firs and oaks in the Shasta-Trinity National Forest. The campground has 4 loops (A-D), with all loops enjoying nice views of the lake, except loop A.
Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, showers and trash collection. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs ( up to 40 feet).
All campsites have bear-proof food lockers, tables, pedestal grills, drinking water and fireplaces. The Trinity Lake boat ramp is with a mile of the campground. Cell service is poor.
Other campgrounds in the area include Ackerman, Cooper Gulch, Bushytail, Stoney Point and Minersville.
Tannery – Area Recreation & Activities
Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, fishing, swimming, kayaking, canoeing, water sports, hiking, mountain biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing. The historic town of Lewiston is just a few miles away.
