Warner Valley Overview

Warner Valley Campground has 17 campsites and is located near Hot Springs Creek in the southeastern area of Lassen Volcanic National Park. There are numerous hiking trails near the campground, including the Pacific Crest Trail.

Campsites are best suited for tent camping but a few can accommodate small RVs (up to 24 feet). Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill.

The campground is generally open late May to mid October. Amenities include water spigots, vault toilets and trash collection. Cell service is not available.

Other campgrounds in the area include Summit Lake South, Summit Lake North and Summit Lake Stock Corral. You might also like Juniper Lake Group, Juniper Lake Stock Corral and Gurnsey Creek.

Warner Valley Campground – Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes hiking, biking, horseback riding, picnicking, stargazing and wildlife viewing.

The nearby Drakesbad Guest Ranch offers dining, horseback riding, massage, and thermal pool swimming. Call ahead for reservations. Warner Valley Campground is operated by the park concessioner Snow Mountain, LLC. The nearest supplies and services are located in Chester.
