Lodgepole (MT) Campground Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest Montana

Lodgepole (MT) Overview

Lodgepole Campground has 29 campsites and is located right across the highway from beautiful Georgetown Lake in Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest. There are 19 reservable campsites and 10 that are first-come, first-served.

The campground is generally open mid May to late September. There is no direct lake access from the site but Red Bridge Boat Launch is walking distance away. If you camp at Lodgepole Campground there is no charge for using the boat launch/day use area. Campground amenities include potable (drinking) water, vault toilets and trash collection. Firewood is also available to purchase from the camp host.  Cell service is fair in the area.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site has a gravel parking spur (up to 40 feet in length), table, fire ring and grill.  You can have up to 2 vehicles and 8 people per site. Hookups are not available.

Other campgrounds around the lake include Philipsburg Bay, Piney, and Stuart Mill Bay.

Lodgepole Campground – Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, fishing, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, water sports, hiking, mountain biking, picnicking, hunting, OHV trail riding and wildlife viewing.

Georgetown Lake also has two marinas including Moose Marina and Lakeside at Georgetown Marina.
