Warrior Creek Overview

Warrior Creek Campground has 61 campsites in a forested area on the south side of W. Kerr Scott Dam and Reservoir in the foothills of North Carolina’s Blue Ridge Mountains.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs.  There are 55 sites with water and electric hookups, and 6 standard sites. Each site also has a gravel parking spur, table, BBQ pedestal, fire ring and grill.  Most sites have good tree shade. Firewood is available to purchase from the friendly camp host. Group camping is also available.

The campground is seasonal and usually open mid April to mid October. Amenities include potable (drinking) water, vault toilets, hot-water showers, trash collection (dumpsters) and an RV dump station. There’s also a boat ramp, boat trailer lot, swim beach, playground and amphitheater. Cell service is fair in the area.

Warrior Creek Campground – Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, kayaking, paddle-boarding, fishing, swimming, water sports, hiking, mountain biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.

Visitors can also explore the historic towns of Wilkesboro and North Wilkesboro, visit the W. Kerr Scott Dam and Reservoir Visitor Assistance Center, enjoy scenic drives through the Blue Ridge foothills, or venture to nearby state parks and Blue Ridge Parkway attractions.

Bandits Roost Campground and Fort Hamby Park are also in the area.
