Fourbit Ford – Area & Recreation

The Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest covers nearly 1.8 million acres. It extends from the crest of the Cascade Mountains to the Siskiyou Mountains. It stretches towards the Pacific Ocean along the Oregon-California border. The National Forest features alpine lakes, 8 distinct wilderness areas, and over 200 miles of Wild and Scenic rivers.  Also, the campground is on the site of the original supply road (Old Military Road) for Fort Klamath. Some popular activities to do here are hiking, fishing, and wildlife viewing.

The Willow Lake County Recreation Area is a great place to visit too. It offers opportunities for hiking, swimming, boating, as well as fishing. The Upper Klamath Nation Wildlife Refuge is about 1 hour away. It sits next to Upper Klamath Lake and offers plenty of recreational activities.

Other campgrounds you might like are Fourmile Lake, North Fork, Daley Creek, Aspen Point, as well as Grizzly.
