Manns Overview

Manns Campground has 9 campsites set in a beautiful canyon next to Sheep Creek in the Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area (Ashley National Forest). All sites are first-come, first-served.  Single-family and double-family sites are available. Most sites are exposed but a few have shade from cottonwood trees.

The high-desert campground offers sweeping views of the surrounding desert and forested ridges.  Campsites can accommodate tents and smaller trailers/RVs. Each site also has a parking spur, table, fire ring and grill. Hookups are not available.

The campground is generally open mid-May to mid September. Amenities include vault toilets and trash collection. The Sheep Creek boat launch is also nearby. Cell service is fair in the area.

Other nearby campgrounds include Carmel and Willows.

Manns Campground – Area Recreation & Activities

A short drive leads to Flaming Gorge Reservoir for boating, fishing, and swimming, while the nearby Flaming Gorge–Uintas Scenic Byway offers panoramic overlooks and access to hiking trails. Other activities include mountain biking, hiking, picnicking and stargazing. Wildlife viewing can also be good in the area.
