Lower Twin (Va) Overview

Lower Twin Campground has 33 campsites (25 with electric hookups) and is located in a forested area near the John W. Flannagan Reservoir. There are 25 sites with electric hookups and 8 tent-only sites (all with electricity).

The campground is generally open mid May to mid September. Amenities include water, flush toilets, hot-water showers and trash collection. There’s also a boat ramp, playgrounds and picnic shelters nearby. Each campsite also has a paved parking spur, table, lantern post, fire ring and grill.  Cell service is fair in the area.

Lower Twin Campground – Area Recreation and Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, whitewater rafting, mountain biking, hiking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
