Pass Creek Campground Tahoe National Forest California

Pass Creek Overview

Pass Creek Campground has 30 spacious campsites in a forested area on the northeastern shore of beautiful Jackson Meadow Reservoir in Tahoe National Forest.

The rustic campground has single-family and double-family campsites that can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Campsites don’t have hookups, but each does have a paved parking spur, table, food storage locker (bear box), fire ring and grill.

Amenities include potable (drinking) water, flush and vault toilets, trash collection and a dump station. There is also a boat ramp and boat trailer lot next to the campground. Cell service is not available in the area. Firewood is available to purchase from the camp host.

Pass Creek Campground – Area Recreation & Activities

The adjacent 1,000-acre Jackson Meadow Reservoir offers excellent opportunities for boating, kayaking, water sports, swimming and fishing. Anglers will find rainbow and brown trout.  A designated swim beach is also nearby. The lake is an irrigation source, meaning its level will drop as the season progresses.

A portion of the Pacific Crest Trail meanders along the east side of the lake. It is open to hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding and provides opportunities for viewing wildlife. Hunting is also popular activities in the surrounding area. The area is also scenic in late spring and summer when wildflowers bloom in the meadows.

Other campgrounds in the are include East Meadow, Fir Top, Woodcamp, Jackson Point (Boat-In) and Silvertip (Group) and Aspen Group. Little Laiser Meadow Horse Campground is also nearby.
