Rattin Campground Custer Gallatin National Forest Montana

Rattin Overview

Rattin Campground has 7 campsites in a forested area next to Rock Creek in the Custer-Gallatin National Forest.

Campsites are suitable for tents, trailers and RVs. There are no hookups at this small campground.  Sites 1, 2, 5, 6 and 7 are level.  Maximum RV/trailer length is 30 feet. Each campsite has a parking spur, table, fire ring, grill and food storage locker.

The seasonal campground is generally open early May to late September. Amenities include potable (drinking) water, vault toilets and trash collection (dumpsters).

Rattin – Area Recreation & Info

The campground is 7 miles south of Red Lodge, MT just off the scenic Beartooth Highway and offers a great base camp for fishing, mountain biking, hiking, wildlife viewing and scenic driving.   Rock Creek offers great rainbow trout fishing and Greenough Lake is 8 miles away.

Other campgrounds in the area include Basin, Cascade, Limber Pine, Parkside, Rattin, Sheridan and Greenough Lake.
