Mill Creek (Plumas) Overview

Mill Creek Campground has 11 really nice campsites and most are along the shoreline of beautiful Bucks Lake in the Plumas National Forest. All sites have water views and nice shade from an old growth forest.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs, but most are best suited for tent camping (or small RVs). Campsites 5 to 11 are restricted for vehicles up to 20 feet. Sites 2-4 can handle smaller RV or trailer.  Each site has a paved parking spur, table, food storage locker (bear box), fire ring and grill.

The campground is generally open early May to late September. Amenities include potable (drinking) water, vault toilets and trash collection. Firewood is also available to purchase from the camp host. Cell service is not available. There is a boat launch nearby at Sandy Point Day Use Area.

Mill Creek Campground – Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, fishing, mountain biking, OHV trail riding, hunting, picnicking and wildlife viewing. Hiking is also popular with access to the Mill Creek Trail right from the campground.

Other campgrounds in the area include Grizzly Creek, Lower Bucks Lake, Sundew, Haskins Valley, Hutchins Group and Whitehorse.
