Arch Dam Overview

Arch Dam Group Campground 001 Common Area

Arch Dam Group Campground is less than a mile from the Green River spillway in the Flaming Gorge area (Ashley National Forest). Access to Flaming Gorge Reservoir is also about 3 miles away. The high-desert terrain consists of sagebrush, pinyon pine and open meadows. Shade is limited, so expect a lot of sun.

The campground has 3 group sites (for tents, trailers and RVs).  Each group site can accommodate up to 75 people (20 vehicles) each. Each site also has tables, fire rings and grills. Potable (drinking) water is available during the season but not always available outside of peak season. Vault toilets and trash dumpsters are also provided. Some cell service is available in the area.

Arch Dam Group Campground – Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, fishing, swimming, water sports, rafting, kayaking, hiking, mountain biking, OHV trail riding, picnicking and wildlife viewing.

Other campgrounds in the area include Deer Run, Mustang Ridge, Cedar Springs and Dripping Springs.
