Cedar Springs (UT) Overview
Cedar Springs Campground has 23 campsites set on a hill above the Cedar Springs Marina in the Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area. Juniper, pinyon pine and sagebrush in between the sites offer good privacy.
Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a paved parking spur (ranging in size from 25 to 40 feet), table, fire ring and grill. There are 12 pull through sites but hookups are not available.
The campground is generally open mid April to early October. Amenities include potable (drinking) water, vault toilets, trash collection and a dump station. Cell service is good in the area. The marina also has a small store, bar/grill, boat ramp, boat trailer lot, boat slips, boat/kayak rentals and fishing cleaning station. Showers are available at nearby Deer Run Campground. Another shower is located at the Mustang Ridge. You may also like Firefighters Memorial Campground or Lodgepole Campground (at Flaming Gorge).
Cedar Springs Campground – Area Recreation & Activities
Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, fishing, water skiing, jet skiing, canoeing, kayaking, swimming and scuba diving are popular activities on the reservoir.
Nearby Bear Canyon Trail offers an easy 3-mile round-trip trail for hiking and mountain biking. The trail leads to views of Red Canyon and Flaming Gorge.
Flaming Gorge Dam also offers guided tours of the working hydroelectric plant and the dam, and the adjacent visitor center contains area history exhibits.
