Jaycee Park Overview
Jaycee Park Campground has 7 primitive (first-come, first-served) campsites located next to towering red rock canyon walls and across the street from the Colorado River. The campground is also located next to the popular Wall Street climbing area.
The campground is open year-round and all of the 7 first-come, first-serve campsites are for tent camping only (no trailers, RVs or large vehicles). Trees provide nice shade to the campsites. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill. The walk from the parking area to your site ranges from 20 to 200 feet.
Amenities include vault toilets and trash collection. Potable (drinking) water is not available. Cell service is not available.
Other campgrounds in the area include Williams Bottom, Gold Bar Recreation Site, Gold Bar Group and Kings Bottom.
Jaycee Park Campground – Area Recreation & Activities
Outdoor recreation in the area includes rock climbing, hiking, canoeing, kayaking, rafting, fishing, picnicking, stargazing, mountain biking and OHV trail riding. Wildlife viewing can also be good.
The Portal Hiking Trailhead is near the campground ascending to spectacular views of the Moab Valley, La Sal Mountains and beyond.
