Although best suited for tent camping, trailers and RVs (25ft to 30ft) are okay. Tables, food storage lockers, fire rings, grills and BBQ pedestals area also provided. Bears frequent the area so please  follow all safety precautions when storing food and supplies.

The campground is seasonal and usually open open from early May until early October. Amenities include flush toilets, potable (drinking) water and trash collection (dumpsters). Cell service is not available. There is also a camp host and a commercial pack station is close by for horse enthusiasts. Several general stores, restaurants, and pay showers are available at nearby resorts as well. Aspen Group – Area & Recreation

This campground offers views of massive peaks to the west and surrounding steep canyons. The site is next to the clear, cold, and cascading Rock Creek. It originates in the John Muir Wilderness and runs for 22 miles through the bottom of Rock Creek Canyon. For a fun day trip, Mammoth Lakes is only about 30 mins away. There is plenty to see and do there. Also, June Lake and Mono Lake are awesome places to visit and are both under 1hr away.

Some of the more popular activities to do at the campground and the surrounding area are fishing and hiking. Also, guests love to do photography, some wildlife viewing, and mountain biking. Rock Creek and other waterways in the eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains have exceptional trout fishing. Trout species include brook, brown, rainbow and Alpers trout. Anglers may find golden trout in the backcountry.

Some other campgrounds that you might like are Iris Meadow, Big Meadow, Palisade Group, East Fork, Rock Creek Lake Group, French Camp, Tuff, as well as Crowley Lake.3
