Greendale Campground has 10 spacious campsites (including 2 group sites) about 3.5 miles from the Cedar Springs Marina and beautiful Flaming Gorge Reservoir. The 8 single-family sites are on the east side of the road and the two group sites (up to 40 people each) are on the west side of the road.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Ponderosa pines and juniper provide decent shade. Each site also has a parking spur (ranging in size from 25 to 60 feet), table, fire ring and grill.  Hookups are not available.

The campground is generally open mid May to late September. Amenities include potable (drinking) water, vault toilets and trash collection. Cell service is good in the area. You can shower up over at Deer Run campground. The Cedar Springs Marina (3.5 miles away) also has a small store, bar/grill, boat ramp, boat trailer lot, boat slips, boat/kayak rentals and fishing cleaning station.

Greendale Campground – Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, fishing, water skiing, jet skiing, canoeing, kayaking, swimming and scuba diving are popular activities on the reservoir.

Nearby Bear Canyon Trail offers an easy 3-mile round-trip trail for hiking and mountain biking. The trail also leads to views of Red Canyon and Flaming Gorge.

Flaming Gorge Dam also offers guided tours of the working hydroelectric plant and the dam. The visitor center is also adjacent to the dam.

Other campgrounds in the area include Firefighters, Deer Run, Cedar Springs and Arch Dam Group.
