  1. Update – the USDA Forest Service has temporarily closed all national forests in California as a result of the extreme fire conditions:
    Eldorado National Forest
    Tahoe National Forest
    Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit
    Mendocino National Forest
    Plumas National Forest
    Lassen National Forest
    Shasta Trinity National Forest
    Six Rivers National Forest
    Klamath National Forest
    Modoc National Forest

  2. Hi! Is there any information about the reopening dates?

    • Hi Denis,
Just checked and there are no updates as to when the national forests (campgrounds and trails, etc.) in CA will be reopened. Initially the closure would be at least through Sep 14, but I have a feeling (with the very dry conditions and continued fires), it will be extended.

  3. 2021 started still not opened? Any update? thanks

    • Hi Oliver,
Fire Restrictions have been lifted. You can have fires in designated campsite fire rings. Most campgrounds are currently closed for the season and many still under snow.
